This project is special because it will be the grandest and best aquatic arena in Indonesia. In this venue, swimming sports, 25 m short course, water polo, beautiful gymnastics and beautiful jumping will be contested.

So, at the time of the Papua Province National K3 Month Commemoration Event on January 27, 2020, the Papua Provincial Government awarded two awards.

First, the Award for the Good Implementation of Occupational Safety and Health Management Systems. This award was obtained based on the assessment of the Papua Province Labor Inspector. The Arena Aquatic Papua project is considered to have implemented the Occupational Safety and Health Management System properly and has zero work accidents.

The second award is the P2-HIV & AIDS Program Award in the Workplace with a very good category. The Papua Aquatic Arena project was the only business unit that received this award in Papua Province at the time of the event. This award was obtained because the Papua Aquatic Arena Project is considered to care about the implementation of the HIV & AIDS Prevention and Control Program in the workplace. This also includes conducting outreach on HIV & AIDS in several schools and also collaborating with external parties such as the Papua Provincial Manpower Office.
