PT Waskita Karya was entrusted with working on the Morotai Fisheries Port Infrastructure and Facilities Development project worth IDR 111 billion, after winning the tender for the project. The construction site is in Daeo Majiko Village, South Morotai District, Maluku.

SKPT Morotai is one of the largest suppliers of fish exports in Indonesia. This development will later build ice flake machines, processing, processing installations, fish landing sites, fishing boat stops and cold storage which has a capacity of hundreds of tons.

Of course, it will make it easier to ship fish targeting Southeast Asian countries to Japan," Ermy explained.

The existence of integrated fishery facilities from upstream to downstream is expected to maintain food security, increase fish consumption in the community, encourage foreign exchange income through fish exports, increase people's income, and managing the trade administration of the marine and fisheries sector," added Ermy

This project is planned to be carried out for 450 days where the scope of work includes Preparation, Construction of Ice Flake Machine, Warehouse, Integrated Cold Storage, Fisherman Barracks, SKPT Office, Fish Lods, Culinary Building, Employee Mess, Seawall & Dewatering, Pump House, Facilities and Regional Infrastructure, Regional Electrical Works, Regional Plumbing & Fire Fighting Works, Rehabilitation of Fish Auction Places (TPI).
