Waskita Successfully Booked a Total New Contract of IDR 20.23 Trillion in 2022

PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk. (stock code: WSKT) managed to record a New Contract Value (NKB) of IDR 20.23 trillion by the end of the year or as of December 2022.

SVP Corporate Secretary of the Company, Ermy Puspa Yunita explained that the total contract of IDR 20.23 trillion was achieved thanks to an additional new contract in December 2022 which was sourced from the Wastewater Treatment Installation (IPAL) construction project in the Central Government Core Area (KIPP) IKN, Port Vehicle Terminal Development Project Patimban Package 5 in Subang, West Java and Development of Infrastructure and Facilities of the Daeo Majiko Fishing Port SKPT Morotai.

"On an annual basis, the 2022 NKB acquisition is dominated by the IKN project with a total contract value of IDR 5.92 trillion. The acquisition of the new IKN contract value is following the Company's target where Waskita's average winning rate is at the level of 25% by participating in the IKN project auction of IDR 23.7 trillion in 2022. Of course, Waskita's success is supported by several factors such as increased value engineering, development technology, and digitization, as well as a special key account for the IKN project with the presence of an ad hoc team," said Ermy.

The Ministry of PUPR itself has announced that 29 projects have been contracted out of a total of 34 IKN project packages of IDR 44 trillion, where Waskita won 6 project tenders including; The IKN Toll Road Project for the Sp. Tempadung-Balang Island Bridge segment is Rp. 2.2 trillion, the Sepaku Ring Road Segment 4 Development Project is Rp. 181 billion, the Presidential Secretariat Building Project is Rp. 1.3 trillion, the Coordinating Ministry Office Building and Area Development Project 3 &; 4 in the amount of IDR 1.53 trillion, as well as the WWTP 1,2, 3 KIPP Development Project in the amount of IDR 638 billion.

" 2023 Waskita is targeting new IKN project contracts of 10-20% of the total contract value of IDR 20.3 trillion which will be auctioned off by the PUPR ministry. Waskita's future strategy in targeting the IKN project is to increase capabilities with a focus on human resources, value engineering, as well as technology development, and digitalization through BIM & green construction.
