Waskita and SMI Officially Sign CSPA Cimanggis Cibitung Toll Road

PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk by its subsidiary PT Waskita Toll Road (WTR) has signed a Conditional Sales Purchase Agreement (CSPA) with PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (SMI) in the context of the plan to divest 55% ownership of WTR to PT Cimanggis Cibitung Tollways (CCT), a Toll Road Business Entity (BUJT) which has concession rights over the Cimanggis Cibitung toll road section.

The Company's President Director, Destiawan Soewardjono, said that the signing of the PJBB/CSPA is the initial stage in the Process of the CimanggisCibitung toll divestment plan. It is also a form of the Company's commitment to healthy Waskita finances that will be realized in 2022.

"Waskita targets to divest 13 toll roads from 2021 to 2026. After successfully carrying out four toll road divestments in 2021, this year Waskita is optimistic that it can complete the divestment process of 3-4 toll roads, one of which is the CCT divestment. For other toll road divestments, The Company is currently in the Discussion and negotiation stage with potential investors," said Destiawan.

Furthermore, Waskita Director of Finance and Risk Management, Taufik Hendra Kusuma added that the Company and SMI Will carry out the signing of the Sale and Purchase Deed (AJB), which is targeted for completion in Semester I 2022. When this transaction is completed, the ownership structure in CCT consists of SMI of 55 %, WTR at 35%, and other shareholders at 10%.
