After the accident at the Kapal Betung section on Friday (7/1), WST has alerted the repair team and the patrol team to repair the damaged road and add traffic signs along the toll road. The Addition of traffic signs is Intended to provide information for the road users to be more careful due to road improvements, so it is necessary to reduce vehicle speed.

"Our target is that all potholes and damage in the Kapal Betung section can be closed by the End of January 2022. After that, if new damage is Found within four days, it will be immediately covered with Coldmix asphalt with a maximum target time of fewer than 1×24 hours. This Target exceeds the Minimum Service Standards (SPM), For toll roads where the SPM for road repairs is 2 × 24 hours a maximum. So it is hoped that the Betung Ship Section can reach zero potholes in the future, "explained Herwidiakto.

To increase the vigilance of road users when driving, WST has increased the number of traffic signs by 250 RC, 100 signposts, and 100 stick lamps that will light up at night along toll roads, as well as appeals for vehicle speed limits through banners and VMS. Four (4) Sign Patrol teams have been Formed consisting of two (2) Contractor QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment) elements Teams, two (2) QHSE element teams for Toll Road Business Entities (BUJT) operating 1×24 o'clock. The Patrol Team is Tasked also with maintaining and repairing damaged signs and re-installing missing signs.
