President Joko Widodo became the inspector of ceremonies at the 2021 Pancasila Birthday Commemoration Ceremony virtually from the Bogor Presidential Palace, West Java, Tuesday 1 June 2021. The President wore traditional clothes typical of Tanah Bumbu, South Kalimantan. This ceremony was attended by all state officials including the Board of Directors of PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk, its subsidiaries, and virtually all Waskita personnel. At 08.00 WIB, the ceremony began. All participants solemnly followed the course of the ceremony until finished.

In his mandate, President Jokowi said that the commemoration of the birthday of Pancasila every June 1st must be used to strengthen the values of Pancasila in society, nation, and state. Pancasila has been integrated into the life of the Indonesian nation as long as the Republic of Indonesia was established, the challenges faced by Pancasila are not getting any lighter. One of these challenges is the increasing rivalry between ideologies.

“Globalization and interaction between parts of the world do not necessarily increase the common view and togetherness. What we have to beware, is the Increasing of rivalry and competition, including the rivalry between views, the rivalry between values, and rivalry between ideologies.”
