The presence of the Kayu Agung - Palembang - Betung Toll Road, which is the main route for Trans Sumatra, is one of the important infrastructure. The construction of the route, which is often known as the Betung Ship, can encourage national economic recovery due to the COVID19 pandemic. In addition, this section will make interconnection with the logistics sector better, also reduce travel time, and support the smooth accessibility of public goods and services on the island of Sumatra, especially South Sumatra Province.

(22/12) PT Waskita Sriwijaya Tol (WST) signed a Project Development Agreement with China Communications Construction Indonesia (CCCI) for the Kayu Agung-Palembang - Betung Section, to be precise the Phase 2 Betung Ship section.

The event was witnessed by Deputy Minister II of BUMN Kartika Wirjoatmodjodan President Director of Waskita Destiawan Soewardjono and the Directors of Waskita Karya.

Of course, with this toll road, the dream of growing the economy becomes even more real.
