Tuesday (13/10), Waskita Karya signed a contract for the construction of the Sofi-Wayabula 1 (MYC) Road in the Morotai Island Regency, North Maluku. The value is Rp. 158 billion.

Located 129km from Daruba, the capital city of the Morotai archipelago district, this road will reduce travel time by as much as 1.5 hours and reduce transportation costs by about 50%. In the long term, economic growth is expected to increase by 40%, the tourism route to Sofi will be connected, and logistics costs will decrease by 30%.

The construction of this road, perhaps, is a retelling of the famous saying. That Java is not the key. Indonesia is the key.
