Along with the comprehensive
transformation, Waskita also intervened
in the Development of national energy,
especially New and Renewable Energy
(EBT). One of them was realized by the
signing of the Batang Toru PLTM
Development Contract between Waskita
and Terregra worth IDR 377 billion last
Friday (28/5).
The EPC Division was trusted to build a
Minihydro Power Plant (PLTM) Batang
Toru with a power of 2x5MW. This PLTM
is located on the Batang Toru River,
Pahaejulu, North Tapanuli, North
Sumatra.
The signing of this contract was carried
out by Waskita and PT Terregra Asian
Energy Tbk through PT Berkah Alam
Lestari Energi. Waskita was represented
by SVP EPC Division AS Wisnu Wijayanto and Director of Operation III Mr. Gunadi, while Berkah Alam Lestari Energi was represented by President Director Iwan Sugiardjo and President Director of PT Terregra Asia Energy Djani Sutedja.
The Implementation of the Batang Toru
Minihydro Power Plant (PLTM)
construction contract is planned to be
carried out for 730 days or 24 months.
This mini-hydro power plant will use the
Batang Toru river as an energy source.
Later the PLTM will be used to drive a
turbine with a capacity of 10 MW which
will produce electrical energy for the
electricity needs of the people around
North Sumatra.
Previously, Waskita had also signed a
master agreement with PT Terregra Asia
Energy Tbk for an energy project worth
Rp 12.5 trillion. The projects are five
Micro Hydro Power Plants (PLTMH) in
North Sumatra Province and 2 Hydro
Power Plants (PLTA) in Nanggroe Aceh
Darussalam Province
