PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk. through its business unit EPC Division (Engineering, Procurement & Construction Division) won a new contract for the construction of the Bayang Nyalo Mini-hydro Power Plant (“PLTM”) with a capacity of 2×3 MW in Pesisir Selatan Regency, West Sumatra Province.
The employment contract agreement worth 128 billion was signed by Senior Vice President EPC Division, AS Wisnu Wijayanto and Soma Ariyaka as President Director of PT Bayang Nyalo Hidro (“BNH”) at Office Building 8, 10th floor, Senopati, South Jakarta on Friday, November 26, 2021. Also watching Director of Operation III President Commissioner PT. Bayang Nyalo Hidro, Zainal Hadi.
Director of Operation III PT Waskita Karya, Gunadi said that the construction of this PLTM is expected to provide many benefits from various aspects. For example, from the environmental aspect, it will greatly contribute to energy savings and reduce the use of fuel which has an impact on air pollution, where PLTM is a mix of New Renewable Energy (EBT).
"Hopefully the signing of the contract for the Bayang Nyalo PLTM Project with PT Bayang Nyalo Hidro will be facilitated and smooth and everything will be made easier during the project implementation and can make a positive and blessing contribution to Waskita," said Gunadi.
Meanwhile, according to Senior Vice President EPC Division, AS Wisnu Wijayanto, the source of development funding comes from PT Bayang Nyalo Hidro with the type of payment monthly payment according to the progress achieved every month. "This PLTM development plan will be carried out with an implementation time of 660 days or 22 months. With the condition of the land status that has been acquired 100%, and have experience in working on projects Hydro Power, we are optimistic that we can complete projects with good quality, on time and with a capacity guarantee in accordance with Detail Engineering Design (DED) agreed upon between Waskita and Bayang Nyalo Hidro”, added Wisnu.
PT Waskita Karya itself is very experienced in building several PLTM projects in Indonesia, including PLTM Baras West Kalimantan, PLTM Lokomboro East Nusa Tenggara, PLTM Werba Irian Jaya, PLTM Lebak Barang Central Java, PLTM Sangir Hulu West Sumatra, PLTM Lebak Tundun West Java, then PLTA Sepakat Aceh and PLTA 2×10 MW Genyem Papua.
