PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk with the stock code WSKT won a tender for the work project at Patimban Port which is located in Subang Regency, West Java with a total contract value of IDR 3.7 trillion. In this project, Waskita's portion is 16 percent or IDR 595 billion.
The project contract worth IDR 3.7 trillion was carried out by 2 Japanese contractors and 3 Indonesian contractors who are members of a joint venture (TWWHA), namely TOA 60% (Japan), Waskita 16%, Wakachiku 10% (Japan), HK 8%, Abipraya 6%, where Waskita is the leader of the Indonesian contractor, and TOA is the leader of the Japanese contractor.
The announcement of the winner of the project tender with the name Work Package 5 (Car Terminal Construction) Patimban Port Phase 1-2 was marked by the signing of a work contract which was carried out today December 30, 2022, at the Ministry of Transportation office, Central Jakarta between Officials Making Commitment Package 5: Vehicle Terminal Construction, Patimban Port Development Project (II), Yohanes Aris Widianto with Joint Operation Representative, Nobuhiro KONO who was authorized by the five companies that are members of the TWWHA joint venture.
This work package is under the Directorate General of Sea Transportation, the Class II Patimban Port Authority Harbor Authority Office, and the Ministry of Transportation plans to build a Vehicle Terminal which will accommodate 1500 container vehicles per day at Patimban Port.
SVP Corporate Secretary of the Company Novianto Ari Nugroho explained that Waskita has been participating in the project tender process since 2021. "The letter of determination of the announcement of the winner has been issued since last December 16, and today we are completing the contract signing process," he said.
"In general, Patimban Port will serve types of container loads and motorized vehicles that are transported using large ships. This Car Terminal will have a capacity of up to 600 thousand vehicles per year," added Novianto.
“Secara umum Pelabuhan Patimban akan melayani jenis muatan peti kemas dan kendaraan bermotor yang diangkut menggunakan kapal-kapal berukuran besar. Car Terminal ini nantinya memiliki kapasitas tampung hingga 600 ribu kendaraan per tahun,” tambah Novianto.
In this project, Waskita's portion and scope of work are quite large, which includes quality control, quantity survey, structure, critical path method, temporary facilities, and building. "It is planned that this project will be carried out for 943 days and will be completed in mid-2025," concluded Novianto.
