PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk supports the improvement of West Java agriculture by working on an irrigation system project to increase the modernization of Rentang irrigation in West Java, in Cimanuk, Cisanggarung, Indramayu Regency. The Rp270 billion project is aimed at supporting agricultural irrigation systems in the region

The construction of the project was marked by the signing of the LOS-01 Rentang Irrigation Modernization Project (RIMP) work contract, which was carried out by the Irrigation and Swamp Commitment Officer III SNVT PJPA 1 Cimanuk Cisanggarung Mrs. Andi Wildaniah, ST., M.D.M with Senior Vice President Infrastructure I Division, I Nyoman Agus Pastima.

SVP Corporate Secretary of the Company Novianto Ari Nugroho explained that the construction of the KSO project is planned to be carried out within 1,095 days and is targeted for completion in 2025. "The company's portion is 60% and the other 40% is being carried out by PT. Basuki Rahmanta Putra (BRP)," he said.

Before this project, Waskita also worked on the Rentang LMS-03 Irrigation Network Modernization Project Package. "This work aims to support a modern irrigation system and increase water discharge at several points of agricultural land in the Indramayu Regency area, including Pasir Angin, Tipar, Ciluncat, and Mecat," added Novianto.

Waskita's scope of work includes Public Works, Irrigation Canal Works, Drainage Canal Works, Total for Daywork, and Specified Provisional Sum. "Currently, several access roads are quite difficult, and some are still inadequate to get to the work location. "The location of his work is far from the city center, about 20 km from the city of Indramayu," concluded Novianto.
