Pay Off the Bonds, As A Form of Waskita Karya's Commitment

PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk paid in full the Shelf-Registered Bonds II Waskita Karya Phase III 2017 series B which matures on February 21, 2022 with a principal of Rp.910.00 billion and interest of Rp.20.47 billion. The source of funds used to pay off the Bonds comes from the Company's internal cash. The repayment of principal and interest on these bonds is a form of the Company's commitment to always carry out its obligations to bond investors.

Waskita's Director of Finance and Risk Management, Taufik Hendra Kusuma said with the success of 8 streams Waskita's financial recovery which went well last year, the Company is optimistic that it can maintain its commitment to carry out its obligations on time.

"This year, the Company is focused on running its operational business and continuing to finalize the restructuring in a comprehensive manner Group as an effort to improve and improve its financial performance," said Taufik.

The company will also continue to implement 8 streams Waskita's financial restructuring this year, through the issuance of bonds & sukuk with government guarantees, State Equity Participation (PMN) and rights issue 2022, Government guarantees on bank syndicated facilities, as well as divestment of toll road sections while still adhering to the principle of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) and Risk Management.

“The company is in the process of obtaining fiscal incentive support in the form of government guarantees for the issuance of bonds & sukuk amounting to Rp3.83 trillion in the first half of this year. Funds received will be used for refinancing maturing bonds and the Company's working capital,” added Taufik.
